Dear Friends
Our Church motto for 2018 was duly launched for the adults in Church last Sunday and the forthcoming ATS (with Bring and Share food next week) will seek to expound Jesus’ invitation to all ages. Indeed, even when it came to our notices and intercessions, it was clear that a number of folk are already responding to Jesus’ invitation to 'follow me', as we prayed for Mike, now working at Wythenshawe hospital, Jess, as she prepares with her family to join us in the summer, and Richard as he plans to serve as minister at Holy Innocents’ Fallowfield, after Easter.
However, followers aren’t necessarily called to move, nor indeed do they solely have to be ordained, and we look forward with anticipation over the coming year of discovering to where and into what, we all might be called to follow, both as individuals and as a community. It could also be that we too are called to be inviters, whereby we might be encouragers of others, inviting them to join us as 'followers of the way’.
If so, why not start this week, praying over who you might invite to join you at church, as we worship together this coming Sunday?
I look forward to seeing you.
God Bless
Simon
