Happy September everyone! Lots of people are returning to school and college this week, please do remember them in your prayers.
Today's PPP is posted on behalf of Simon who is taking a break this week.
Mark this time as one set aside for God by focusing on your breathing.
Count to 5 as you breathe in, hold your breath for another 5, and then exhale slowly again counting to 5.
You might want to think about the things you want to receive from God: holding a word in your mind as you breathe in, and equally share with Him a word concerning something particular that you want to hand over and leave with Him (perhaps a worry, care, concern or failing) when you breathe out.
See, a day is coming for the Lord, when the plunder taken from you will be divided in your midst. On that day there shall not be either cold or frost. And there shall be continuous day (it is known to the Lord), not day and not night, for at evening time there shall be light. On that day living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea; it shall continue in summer as in winter. And the Lord will become king over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be one and his name one.
Zechariah 14:1, 6-9
What present day injustices do you long to be righted?
Is it hard to imaging God in total control – if so why?
"Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference." - Max Lucado

Pray for wisdom & humility for those who hold power and are currently in control
Pray for all those now not able to access food through the Ardwick Covid provision
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
