How are we all doing at the end of another week? For me today is one of those days where there is a very full to do list and seemingly not enough time to get it all done in. I suspect that many of us have days like this, it's just part of life sometimes. The temptation can be to spend the day getting stressed and grumpy, however, that doesn't really change how much there is to do or the time there is to get it done in. All it does is rob today of joy. All we can do, is what is possible and leave the impossible to God. That's why, even on the busiest days, it's really important not to squeeze prayer out.
Why not take time out for a few moments, even if you are really busy, to pause, ponder and pray.
p.s. Today's Pause, Ponder and Pray is sent out on behalf of Simon.
Mark this time as one set aside for God by focusing on your breathing.
Count to 5 as you breathe in, hold your breath for another 5, and then exhale slowly again counting to 5.
You might want to think about the things you want to receive from God: holding a word in your mind as you breathe in, and equally share with Him a word concerning something particular that you want to hand over and leave with Him (perhaps a worry, care, concern or failing) when you breathe out.
Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A servant-girl came to him and said, ‘You also were with Jesus the Galilean.’ But he denied it before all of them, saying, ‘I do not know what you are talking about.’ When he went out to the porch, another servant-girl saw him, and she said to the bystanders, ‘This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.’ Again he denied it with an oath, ‘I do not know the man.’ After a little while the bystanders came up and said to Peter, ‘Certainly you are also one of them, for your accent betrays you.’ Then he began to curse, and he swore an oath, ‘I do not know the man!’ At that moment the cock crowed. Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said: ‘Before the cock crows, you will deny me three times.’ And he went out and wept bitterly. Matthew 26:69-75
How have you reacted when letting Jesus down?
In what ways have you experienced his subsequent forgiveness?
"Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference." - Max Lucado

Pray for those who need to know the forgiveness & acceptance of Jesus today
Pray for friends of Jesus today who are in danger if they profess faith in Him
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
