Just a short post because we are out for the day (hoping the weather isn't too grim!). Have a lovely day whatever you are doing and I look forward to catching up with you tomorrow (In the building at 9am and/or 10:45 on Zoom).
p.s. Today's PPP is sent on behalf of Simon.
Mark this time as one set aside for God by focusing on your breathing.
Count to 5 as you breathe in, hold your breath for another 5, and then exhale slowly again counting to 5.
You might want to think about the things you want to receive from God: holding a word in your mind as you breathe in, and equally share with Him a word concerning something particular that you want to hand over and leave with Him (perhaps a worry, care, concern or failing) when you breathe out.
The blessings of your father are stronger than the blessings of the eternal mountains,
the bounties of the everlasting hills; may they be on the head of Joseph,
on the brow of him who was set apart from his brothers. Genesis 49:26
Being “blessed” is now a commonly used phrase by many - How can we help people to acknowledge that God is the one who blesses and unlike Jacob, seeks to bless all without favour?
"Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference." - Max Lucado

Give God thanks for His specific blessings given to you today
Pray for those who encountered a lack of affirmation as a child and still carry the scars
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
