Dear Friends
On Monday, our local primary school received notice that during the following 2 days, we would be subject to an OFSTED inspection, assessing the qualities of the school. In truth, it’s an event we’ve been hoping for and anticipating for a number of years, as we believe we are a much better school now than previously judged, and we look forward to have a chance to be re-assessed. Please pray today for all who continue to be interviewed and the inspectors too, that an accurate and encouraging judgement of Medlock school can be made of this crucial resource to our local community.
Last Sunday in church, we celebrated the start of Advent, a time of preparation, the anticipation of both the first and second coming of Jesus. The Bible tells us that unlike a snap OFSTED inspection, there will be no warning at all, but instead Jesus will return like a ’thief in the night’. Again I trust that the prospect of our Jesus' return will be equally positively anticipated, with confidence that we are indeed involved in our Lord’s work and will be judged favourably.
May we indeed know God’s blessing as we journey together through advent, starting first with our all age Christingle service this coming Sunday, followed by lunch prepared for us. Happy Advent!

Keep the faith.
