On the 29th and 30th of June we held a special weekend of events and activities, “looking back with gratitude, looking ahead with hope” and were delighted to welcome back many of our ex-members, along with the local community to join the celebration.
On Saturday there was a guided walk around the area, crafts and games, an afternoon service of praise, then an evening of music, karaoke and one of our legendary quizzes. Plus of course lots of food and conversation. Then on Sunday we had a Service of thanksgiving and celebration, followed by a Bring and Share lunch. This service was shared on Zoom for those who could not be there in person and a recording can be viewed here. Through the weekend there was a display of memories, photos, articles and stories from across the last 50 years of Brunswick Church, a timeline for everyone to enter the dates they were at Brunswick and memorable events and a compilation of videos from various activities such as Club X, Re-connect, 7-Up.
