Thanks everyone who came to help at our Brunswick community Bee Party today. A lovely afternoon featuring lots of planting for our community garden, putting up bug and bee hotels and placing of trays of sedum and wildflowers on the roof of our foyer which is now overlooked by the residents of the Extra Care Centre. Sedum is a bee friendly evergreen, and a green roof is great for absorbing rainfall and for keeping a city cooler. Thank you to WWF for a £500 grant to buy the trays and hotels and all who added to the grant so we could get even more trays. We (of course) finished the afternoon with tea and cake!
