For the second Saturday in a row following the Swinton Grove Park Fun Day, the power of prayer / positive thinking proved effective as the second Brunswick food festival and street party took place without waterproofs needing to be worn.
Hartfield Close was cordoned off with tables and chairs replacing cars (and monitored by our own besuited bouncer!) and the festivities took place. Great food was enjoyed by all, the two bouncy castles by the slightly smaller, and bingo by those who could follow the rules!
Amongst the many stalls, our solar panel stall was of interest to many with sterling work from Mike who staffed it, and the badge making organised by M13 girls was very popular.
Once again it was great to witness the church and centre literally in the heart of such a wonderful community venture, and thanks must go to Choel and Alishia from the Brunswick Tenants and Residents group, who were both stars in the organising and during the day.
