We recently hosted a "Love Food, Hate Waste" workshop, described by one who was there as a "Cracking Good Session!" Local people attended to learn how to turn food they would usually throw away into tasty, cheap dishes. There are loads of ideas and recipes on the Love Food Hate Waste website, including lots of suggestions for Christmas.
