Operation Restoration Christian School, located in the Trenchtown area of Kingston, Jamaica, is one of the ministries that Brunswick Church supports and we have been featuring in our services and prayers in April. Trenchtown is known as the birthplace of Bob Marley, but also a very poor community with many problems including violent drug-related crime. A lady called Lorna Stanley saw that local young people were not receiving even basic education and were being drawn into the drug gangs, and felt a call of God to set up the school in 1994.
The school's principal Robert Dixon has visited the UK a couple of times to share about the work of the school and encourage people and churches to support it. He was with us in Brunswick last year (watch here). Robert was due to be back in the UK and Manchester this month, but due to the Coronavirus crisis his trip was cancelled. He did, however, send us links to three recent videos about the school. If you would like to know more about supporting Operation Restoration, send an email.
