Well over 50 people came to the official launch of our 'Women's Footprints' group today. The group has been going for several months and today's event was to celebrate the success so far and mark a successful funding application to continue the good work. Guests included local Councillor Tina Hewitson and Archdeacon of Manchester Rev Karen Lund. Words of blessing, welcome and greeting were given, but the highlight was one woman's story of how the group's support had helped her come out of a time of depression that had at almost stopped her from leaving her house. Loving of neighbour and community cohesion in action to build well-being. The group meets every Monday from 10-12 and all women are welcome.
